About The World Health Organization (WHO)
World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialised agency of the United Nations founded in 1948 to ensure the highest possible level of health for all people. Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, the WHO leads and coordinates global health efforts, sets norms and standards, provides leadership on global health matters, and works with 194 member states to fight diseases and promote well-being. Its main goals include expanding universal health coverage, protecting people from health emergencies, and promoting better health and well-being for all.
