Sustainable Digital Finance Ecosystem
The visual direction was developed to ensure a professional aesthetic that aligns with UNDP’s branding and the data-driven insights of the report. The design framework balances clarity, accessibility, and modernity, making complex financial data visually engaging while maintaining a formal, institutional tone.
The Tree of Landmarks
A central design element I introduced was the Tree of Landmarks, symbolizing Iraq’s financial growth and digital transformation. This visual metaphor integrates key Iraqi landmarks within a tree-like structure, representing how the country’s historical and cultural roots support its future in digital finance. The design reinforces the idea of economic resilience and progress, making the report’s themes more relatable and visually compelling.
Report Cover Design
For the cover design, the main element featured was a magnifying lens, symbolizing the detailed analysis of digital finance ecosystem. The lens transitions into a plant, representing growth, evolution, and the nurturing of Iraq’s financial future. The background incorporated the Tree of Landmarks, reinforcing the idea of stability and progress.
Social Media Adaptation
A digital adaptation for social media that involved crafting post templates and infographics visuals, highlighting key findings, statistics, and recommendations in an engaging way. By applying the visual direction consistently, I ensured that the report’s data remains accessible and shareable across various digital platforms.
Motion Graphics for Data Visualization
I created two motion graphics videos that animate financial data and graphs from the report. These animations follow the United Nations’ visual standards, ensuring a clean, professional presentation while making complex statistics more digestible for diverse audiences. Using smooth transitions and dynamic charts, the videos enhance the clarity and engagement of the report’s findings, supporting high-level presentations and public outreach.
In partnership with the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), UNDP has worked to assess and enhance the digital finance ecosystem. This initiative is designed to foster financial inclusion, ensuring that digital financial services are accessible to all, particularly marginalized communities. By aligning with the SDGs, this collaboration promotes resilient and inclusive financial systems that drive sustainable economic development on a global scale.
