In Iraq, entrepreneurs face many challenges when it comes to understanding the registration requirements. The process can seem daunting, and it often discourages people from taking that crucial step towards formalizing their businesses. With this manual, my goal was to break down those barriers. Working closely with the ILO, I designed a guide that not only provides detailed, step-by-step instructions but also presents the information in a way that’s visually clear and easy to follow.

This manual covers everything from choosing the right legal structure for a business to understanding tax and social security obligations. It’s also designed to cater to different sectors, including any special approvals or licenses that may be required, such as for agricultural businesses. What I really aimed for was simplicity—creating a resource that entrepreneurs can pick up, use, and feel confident about the process ahead.

As someone passionate about design’s potential to drive positive change, this project allowed me to contribute to Iraq’s economic development in a meaningful way. I’m proud to have been a part of this initiative, which I believe will encourage more entrepreneurs to formalize their businesses and, in turn, help grow the country’s SME sector.

Motion Graphics Video
In addition to designing the Business Registration Manual, I also created a motion graphics video to visually explain the key steps and concepts covered in the guide. The video simplifies the registration process through dynamic visuals and animations, making it even easier for entrepreneurs to understand their journey. By combining engaging design with clear messaging, the video serves as a powerful tool to complement the manual, ensuring entrepreneurs can access the information in a more interactive and accessible way.
