About The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)
The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations established in 1945 to lead international efforts to defeat hunger and achieve food security for all. It works to improve agriculture, forestry, fisheries, land, and water resources by providing technical assistance, conducting research, and collecting data. The FAO serves as a neutral forum for countries to negotiate international treaties and provides guidance on food and agricultural policies.
